Padang - Padang Beach
Padang Padang Beach is one of Bali’s most famous surf spots. Locally known as Pantai Labuan Sait, this beach on the north-western coast of the island’s Bukit Peninsula has an exotic setting – a stunning 100 metre-long stretch of sand that’s accessible down a flight of stairs and through a unique hollow rock entrance. The surf has a steady set of barrels during good weather, attracting wave riders from around the world.
Padang Padang Beach lies between Bingin and Uluwatu, forming a part of the group of world-class surf spots that line the coast of Bali's southern peninsula. It’s part of a line of beaches that surfers usually hop around interchangeably for a different set of challenges and another thrill for the day. This beach is also a regular spot for international surfing events, such as the Rip Curl Cup Padang Padang.
Uluwatu Temple
Pura Luhur Uluwatu or Uluwatu Temple is a temple located in the Pecatu Traditional Village area, South Kuta District, Badung Regency. Uluwatu Temple, locally known as Pura Luhur Uluwatu (with Luhur meaning ‘something of divine origin’) is one of the most popular spots if you’re embarking on a cultural journey of the region and provides a true slice of Balinese culture. It’s renowned for its magnificent location. Perched atop a steep cliff approximately 70 metres above the crashing ocean below, it makes for the most beautiful backdrop at sunset.
Kecak Dance Performance
Kecak Dance is said to originate from a Balinese ancient ritual called Sanghyang, aimed as a form of exorcism or to repel evil spirits in which dancers fall into a trance. The Kecak dance also has another name which is commonly referred to as "fire dance" or also the fire dance because in this dance it displays several scenes or attractions with fire and this attracts the attention of tourists to watch it.A visit to the dramatic island of Bali will not be complete without watching some of the most captivating traditional performances the island has to offer. Aside from Barong and Janger Dances, another dazzling performance you definitely don’t want to miss is the traditional Kecak Dance, one of Balinese artistic masterpieces in the form of a dance and musical drama.
